1/23/25 ECEA Child Care Update
Track our work on our new ADVOCACY page! https://www.coloradoecea.org/advocacy
We will be tracking the county engagement for property tax relief there also!
Have You Tried....?
1) If you are not a CCCAP provider or don't currently have CCCAP kids, reach out to your administrator to see if they have any child care needs. Get them while you can! Once a county goes on a freeze list, they are not likely to come off for years! Rates have gone up and will continue to due so for the next couple of years.
There are 6 Counties currently on a CCCAP Freeze:
Adams
Boulder
Douglas
Gunnison
Jefferson
Larimer
If you have a CCCAP contract and have families that are struggling, give them a CCCAP application if your county is not on a freeze. It's a win/win--they get help and you get to keep offering them care!
BE PROACTIVE---ASK CCCAP PERSONNEL IF THEY HAVE ANY CHILDREN THAT NEED PLACEMENT!

2) Moved all credit card paying families to EFT. That will decrease your fees to 1% instead of 3%+. It's simple, require it.
3) If you use a food delivery provider (ie., US Foods/Shamrock) AND have more than 15 kids that you provide meals for AND are not already part of a national umbrella via a franchise, etc. then you need to price out your food and supplies with our partner! One of our members is now saving $1,500 a month. THAT COULD BE YOU TOO!
Fill out this form and we will get your details to them!

4) Don't staff rooms at a loss. Scale back until you have enough staff and children to sustain a room. Do you know what each of your rooms total costs are? Keep them within budget.
