ECEA Members. Watch for your 2024-25 UPK Data NEXT WEEK!

From what we can see:

The following slides show a decrease of 9,007 UPK enrollments for this school year so far.

Increasing the number of providers by 248 only stretched enrollments across more settings.

This slide was shared at the ECLC meeting:

ECEA is unsure what the average number of additional children added in to Preschool during each school year (during CPP). We won't know until the end of the school year if an additional 2,000 children register OR if families are figuring out how to register for the full year benefit earlier. In 21 days they had 5.162 children register. That's great news! What we DO know is that the majority of the 2,000 families that joined into UPK last year during the school year did so through School District Programs. It is CRITICAL that you keep marketing to families throughout the school year so that they are aware of their private care options!!
