The real situation is extreme enough that it's our hope that advocates will NOT use misinformation to enlist support for Infant and Toddler Care statewide funding. The REAL issue is that the previous administration overregulated the child care industry, imposing NEW requirements for the states. Those requirements cost Colorado an additional $70 Million a year! The Federal Government needs to either fund or rescind the 2024 CCDF rule set (setting the rules back to the previous version). That does not undermine child safety and would ensure that child care freezes would go away quickly in Colorado!
